Philidelphia Site Visit

Date: February 16,2022

Brief Description: Our members had the chance to go to Philadelphia Solar at Al Qastal, the only photovoltaic modules factory in the region. This site visit mostly concentrated on PV panels when it comes to renewable energy, as we have seen how Philadelphia solar company manufactures 450 Wp PV panels from scratch. We have seen each and every machine and detail there is to make the perfect panel, as also we were shown all departments, such as quality, fabrication, and assembly.

Jordan Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Site Visit

Date: March 10th,2022

Brief Description: AEE HTU members visited Fajr company which is responsible for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply in Jordan. This site visit started with a rich presentation at the company’s headquarters that gave them a closer look into natural gas. Then they headed to the Fine Hygienic factory, in which they had the chance to see their gas turbine systems, a reduction metering system, and the control station.

TWES Site Visit

Brief Description: A number of AEE HTU members accompanied by eng. Samer Zawaydeh have visited @twesjo company. Where they had the chance to know more about their services and scope of work in electronics. In addition to the fruitful discussion they had with its director, Mr. Shahid Iqbal.

KIA Jordan Site Visit

Date: April 11th, 2023

Brief Description: Fifteen students from AEE HTU visited KIA Jordan to explore the latest in electrical and hybrid vehicles, as well as the transition towards electric cars. During their visit, they had the opportunity to see a wide range of KIA's cutting-edge electric and hybrid cars and learn about the technology behind them. In addition to the vehicles, the students were shown the latest in electric car charging technology, including wallbox chargers that offer both AC and DC charging options. They were able to witness the ease and convenience of charging an electric car with a wallbox and understand the importance of developing reliable and efficient charging infrastructure as electric cars become more mainstream. Overall, the visit was an informative and engaging experience for the students, allowing them to gain valuable insights into the world of electric and hybrid vehicles and the future of sustainable transportation.

Royal Scientific Society Site Visit

Date: February 27th, 2023

Brief Description: On February 27th a number of AEE HTU students explored energy laboratories at the Royal Scientific Society, gaining valuable insights into aspects of energy such as light, solar, and electrical energy. The visit included the PV testing laboratory, light testing laboratory , solar thermal lab, freezer, refrigerator, washing machine laboratory , and energy labeling laboratories. We witnessed the intricate workings of energy consumption measurement, testing, and labeling techniques, making for an enlightening experience.
