In a significant stride towards advancing vocational education in Jordan, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) recently announced the formation and launch of the German Jordanian Vocational Education and Training Board (GJVET) on the 19th of November 2023.
The GJVET initiative, in collaboration with the Technical and Vocational Skills Development Commission (TVSDC), aims to revolutionize vocational education and training programs in Jordan. The event, held at Al Hussein Technical University, was graced by the esteemed presence of key figures, including H.E. Nayef Stetieh (former Jordanian Minister of Labour), Dr. Nael Al-Husami (CEO of Amman Chamber of Industry), and Prof. Lutfi Al-Sharif (Vice President of HTU).
Notable participants also included Mrs. Mona Ayoub Abdallah, the AHK TVET Department Director, and Eng. Mohanad Salaheldin, the Regional Director from AHK Egypt. Their involvement underscores the commitment of AHK to fostering vocational education and training.
The GJVET initiative seeks to address the current state of vocational education in Jordan by implementing specific programs and setting clear objectives.
