Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) Hosts Inaugural HTUX 2033 Conference: Fast Tracks to the Future of Learning and Work
AMMAN - Today, Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) hosted the "HTUX 2033 Conference: Fast Tracks to the Future of Learning and Work," marking the launch of three initiatives for the HTUX.ORG platform. HTUX.ORG stands as the first Arabic digital learning platform of its kind, developed by the Digital Learning Center at HTU. The conference witnessed broad participation from the university's partners, guests from the private and public sectors, academics, university presidents, school directors, students, and young graduates.
The conference included a panel discussion on the future of learning and work, featuring the Minister of Education and Higher Education, His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, His Excellency Mr. Ahmad Al-Hanandeh, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Crown Prince Foundation, His Excellency Engineer Ghassan Nuqul, along with the university's president, Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti.
During the event, three initiatives were announced as part of the contribution of the HTUX.ORG platform to providing fast-track pathways for the future of learning and work. The first initiative unveiled was the provision of 4000 free "Growth" opportunities for Jordanian youth, including graduates and final-year students from Jordanian universities. These opportunities aim to create positive career shifts through accelerated learning paths lasting no more than six months, offered through the HTUX.ORG platform. It's worth noting that the Growth initiative is part of the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation, launched late last year in Jordan, Tunisia, and Lebanon, implemented in Jordan by the HTUX.ORG platform in partnership with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation and the Crown Prince Foundation.
Additionally, three free opportunities were announced for a hundred Jordanian schools, allowing a total of 300 school students to undergo a robotics engineering course through the HTUX.ORG platform. This will prepare the schools for participation in the school stage of the annual National Sumo Robot Challenge held at Al Hussein Technical University.
Furthermore, the mechanism for Jordanian schools to join an initiative was announced, enabling all secondary school students to enroll in the HTUX.ORG accelerated programming learning track in Python. This initiative allows them to use Replit's "Python Power-Up: Mastering Coding with Replit's Magic." It also provides an opportunity for 20 students who successfully pass the exams at Al Hussein Technical University to secure a seat in the university based on their proficiency in programming and computing basics. This track was developed by the HTUX.ORG platform in partnership with Replit, founded and managed by the Jordanian entrepreneur Amjad Masad in Silicon Valley, USA.
During the event, Professor Dr. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, expressed the university's commitment to the groundbreaking step taken by the HTUX.ORG platform, stating, "This platform represents a qualitative leap in the future of learning. It embodies the university's commitment to providing innovative, flexible, and easily accessible learning opportunities for Arab youth, equipping them with essential skills for today's competitive job market."
Rami Al-Karmi, Director of the Digital Learning Center, delivered a presentation about the HTUX.ORG platform. It is a leading digital learning platform that offers innovative and accelerated educational pathways lasting six months, aiming to empower and employ Arab youth. Developed at the Digital Learning Center at Al Hussein Technical University, the platform follows a unique learning philosophy and a model designed to lead and bring about a radical transformation in the educational landscape. The platform targets more than 100 million young men and women in the Arab world, providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge for excellence in the fourth industrial revolution. It achieves this by integrating digital learning models and offering specialized mini-modules in various engineering and technology fields in spoken Arabic (Levantine dialect). The model assembles these mini-educational and training units to form each accelerated educational track, presented within a model of social interaction that enhances skill development, entrepreneurship, innovation, and integrates "entertainment for learning" activities. This approach reinforces the educational value provided to the platform's beneficiaries through partnerships between Al Hussein Technical University and industry, contributing to the main goal behind establishing the platform.
The launch event of the HTUX.ORG platform during the "HTUX 2033: Fast Tracks to the Future of Learning and Work" conference demonstrates the university's genuine commitment to revolutionize flexible learning and employment opportunities for Arab youth. Al-Hinti affirmed this in conclusion, stating, "Today marks the beginning of a future journey where learning meets employment, empowering Arab youth to choose pathways that align with their desires and aspirations."
