(March 20th, 2023, Monday) - AMMAN - Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) has officially inaugurated a student branch of The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). The inauguration ceremony was held today at the university campus and was attended by students, faculty members, and industry professionals.
ASHRAE is a global society that focuses on advancing the arts and sciences of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world. The society has more than 57,000 members in over 130 countries worldwide.
The ASHRAE student branch at HTU aims to provide a platform for students to learn and exchange ideas about HVAC&R systems and related technologies. The branch will organize technical seminars, workshops, and networking events to enhance students' knowledge and skills in the field.
"We are delighted to inaugurate the ASHRAE student branch at Al Hussein Technical University," said Faisal Abdallat, Secretary General & Students Activities Chair of ASHRAE Jordan Chapter. "This branch will not only benefit the students but also the industry by producing well-trained professionals who are knowledgeable about the latest developments and trends in HVAC&R."
Nezar Alqudah, the faculty advisor for the ASHRAE student branch at HTU, added, "We are proud to be affiliated with ASHRAE and to have the opportunity to offer our students access to the society's resources and expertise. We believe that this partnership will help our students to develop their skills and knowledge, and prepare them for successful careers in the HVAC&R industry."
