Al Hussein Technical University Achieves Outstanding Jordanian Milestone at Formula Student UK 2026

Amman — Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives, achieved a distinguished Jordanian milestone at Formula Student UK 2026, held in the United Kingdom with the participation of more than 100 university teams from around the world, through its student team HTU Racing.The team secured first place in the Cost and Manufacturing Award, a category that evaluates teams’ efficiency in cost management, manufacturing processes, and the ability to align engineering design with practical implementation requirements. HTU Racing also achieved second place in the Design Event, one of the competition’s most prominent and challenging categories, which assesses the quality of engineering design, innovation, technical solutions, and the overall vehicle development methodology.In addition, the team won third place in the Real World AI category, which focuses on employing artificial intelligence technologies in practical applications that simulate real-world challenges in engineering and the automotive industry. This achievement reflects the students’ ability to apply advanced technologies within practical and forward-looking engineering solutions.Formula Student UK is considered one of the world’s leading design and engineering competitions, bringing together student teams from international universities to design, build, and compete with formula-style racing cars. Teams are evaluated against rigorous engineering and technical criteria, including design, cost and manufacturing, performance, and the administrative and business aspects of the project.
