(Jan 2, 2024, Tuesday) - Amman - In the presence of Eng. Raed Abu Al-Saud, the Minister of Water and Irrigation; Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and Miyahuna Company have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on the development and implementation of the apprenticeship program. Focused on water and wastewater network systems, the program aims to provide HTU students with specialized technical training in detecting leaks and addressing water losses.
This collaboration extends to various areas, including the provision of administrative and technical services, the design and development of a professional training program, directing research conducted by HTU faculty members toward applied topics proposed by Miyahuna Company, enhancing professional practices within the water sector.
The MoU was officially signed by Prof. Ismail Al-Hinti, President of HTU, and Eng. Mohammad Al-Oran, Executive Director of Miyahuna, in the presence of the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Engineer Raed Abu Al-Saud, and a group of academic and administrative bodies of both parties.
During the meeting, the Minister of Water and Irrigation, Eng. Raed Abu Soud, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, saying: "This partnership between Al-Hussein Technical University and Miyahuna Company is a crucial step toward addressing the challenges in the water sector. It exemplifies the importance of bridging academia with industry to cultivate a skilled workforce capable of contributing to sustainable water management.
