Al Hussein Technical University Names Its Main Auditorium After Dr. Omar Abdulhadi in Recognition of the University’s First Endowment Contribution

Amman – 10 February 2026 — Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives, announced today the naming of its main auditorium after Dr. Omar Abdulhadi, in recognition of the first-ever endowment contribution made to support the development of the university’s endowment fund. The initiative reflects the growing importance of strategic partnerships between higher education institutions and organized philanthropy in ensuring the long-term sustainability of quality, practice-oriented education.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Omar Abdulhadi, members of his family and close associates, Chairman of HTU’s Board of Trustees Eng. Bassem Al-Salfitty, HTU President Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, members of the University’s Board of Trustees and the Board of Trustees of the Crown Prince Foundation, in addition to members of the university’s academic and administrative staff.
Dr. Omar Naeem Abdulhadi is widely recognized as a leading figure in the regional engineering sector. He is the founder and partner of the Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES), established in 1983 and regarded as one of the largest specialized engineering consulting firms in the Middle East. Through landmark projects spanning infrastructure, energy, water, transportation, and urban development, ACES has played a pivotal role in advancing professional standards across the region. The firm is also known for its academic and research contributions, as well as its extensive record of regional and international awards.
Alongside his professional achievements, Dr. Abdulhadi has maintained a strong commitment to social impact through the Omar Abdulhadi Foundation, which continues to support education and community development initiatives in Jordan and the wider region. The Foundation focuses on scholarships, youth empowerment, and academic and professional capacity building, grounded in the belief that high-quality education is a cornerstone of sustainable development and long-term impact.
During the ceremony, Dr. Abdulhadi commended HTU’s achievements and emphasized that supporting applied and technical education remains a strategic priority for the Foundation. He highlighted educational endowments as an effective mechanism for sustainability and impact maximization, underscoring the value of purpose-driven partnerships that empower youth and expand their professional horizons.
For his part, HTU President Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti described the endowment contribution as a strategic milestone in the university’s journey, reflecting strong institutional confidence in HTU’s mission and role. He noted that naming the auditorium represents a tangible model of integration between education and institutional philanthropy, and embodies the university’s vision of building long-term partnerships that sustain its academic and applied programs while strengthening alignment with labor market needs.
This initiative builds on the strategic partnership agreement previously signed between HTU and the Omar Abdulhadi Foundation under the university’s Inmaa Endowment Campaign, which aims to secure sustainable funding streams for scholarships, applied learning programs, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Through this campaign, HTU continues to reinforce its role as a national driver of technical education linked to employment, youth empowerment, and community development.
