The Center of Excellence for Innovation and Entrepreneurship – The Core at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) celebrated the graduation of eleven startups for the year during a special ceremony held on campus. The event was attended by Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, and Eng. Mohammad Al-Muhtaseb, CEO of the Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF).
The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Yazan Al-Hijazi, Director of The Core, who began by expressing his appreciation to the startups that placed their trust in the incubator and successfully advanced to become independent, growth-ready businesses. He reviewed The Core’s mission, key achievements to date, and future plans to expand its programs that empower youth-led projects with tangible impact on investment, innovation, and economic development.
In his address, Prof. Al-Hinti congratulated the founders, reaffirming that they remain an integral part of the HTU family, and voiced his pride in their accomplishments despite the competitive nature of both local and global markets. He further emphasized the university’s commitment to expanding the number of youth supported under The Core’s umbrella, providing them with the mentorship, training, and environment they need to realize their full potential.
For his part, Eng. Al-Muhtaseb expressed his pleasure in the collaboration between the ISSF and The Core, noting that despite the global challenges of recent years, investment activity continues to grow, reflecting the resilience and creativity of young minds. He stressed that empowering young innovators is not only vital for strengthening the economy but also for building a better future for the nation as a whole.
During the event, the founders of the graduating startups had the opportunity to present their projects and share their incubation journeys with attendees. The ceremony concluded with Prof. Al-Hinti, Dr. Al-Hijazi, and Eng. Al-Muhtaseb presenting certificates of appreciation to the founders in recognition of their achievements.
