Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and the Jordan Ahli Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in several key areas, most notably joint scientific research in financial technology (Fintech), and to empower and support youth by providing training opportunities that prepare them for successful integration into the labor market.
The partnership reflects both institutions’ shared belief in the importance of cooperation between the private and academic sectors in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. It seeks to advance technical solutions in areas such as artificial intelligence and to foster academic research that aligns with the fast-paced developments in financial technology and digital transformation.
This collaboration also aims to enhance the capabilities of HTU students by providing practical experience and skill development opportunities while they are still pursuing their studies, through the activation of AhliFuture, the first-of-its-kind training and empowerment program bridging the banking and education sectors in Jordan.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Ahmad Al-Hussein, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Ahli Bank, and Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University.
Dr. Al-Hussein expressed his appreciation for this strategic partnership with HTU, emphasizing the importance of joint cooperation that mirrors the rapid advancements in business technology. He noted that the banking sector plays a vital role in supporting students, enhancing their skills, and improving their employability — in line with the bank’s vision of shared prosperity, which seeks to meet the needs and aspirations of Jordan’s youth.
For his part, Prof. Al-Hinti expressed his pleasure in partnering with Jordan Ahli Bank, describing the collaboration as a meaningful step toward empowering and developing Jordanian youth through technical education and career readiness. He added that this initiative supports HTU’s mission to equip young people with the skills and knowledge necessary for success, helping them gain real-world experience, grow professionally, and build valuable networks for the future.
It is worth noting that Al Hussein Technical University, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, is a national, non-profit private university that offers a modern applied education model designed to enhance technical and essential skills in engineering and technology. The university’s mission is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, foster innovation and creativity among students, and serve the local community through training programs that target job-seeking youth and career-awareness initiatives for school students across Jordan.
