HTU and MedCore Clinics Sign Agreement to Provide Comprehensive Health Services to Students and Staff
Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and MedCore Medical Clinics have signed a service agreement to provide comprehensive healthcare, including primary and emergency medical services, to HTU students and staff. The agreement also regulates the coordination of medical services in collaboration with First Insurance Company.
Under the agreement, MedCore Clinics will receive, classify, and diagnose medical cases for HTU employees and students, offering treatment as needed within the capacity of general practitioners without requiring an insurance claim form. Cases that need further medical attention will be referred to specialized healthcare providers with an accompanying medical report. The clinics will also supervise and manage medical leave for students in coordination with the Deanship of Student Affairs.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, and Dr. Saeed Al-Hersh, representing MedCore Medical Clinics, in the presence of representatives from both institutions.
During the signing ceremony, Prof. Al-Hinti emphasized the importance of this collaboration in ensuring the well-being and safety of HTU’s students and staff both on and off campus. He added that MedCore was the ideal partner given its high standards of service, advanced medical technology, and extensive expertise in the field.
Dr. Al-Hersh, in turn, affirmed MedCore’s commitment to maintaining the highest level of service through continuous communication and coordination with the university. He added that the partnership will extend beyond medical treatment to include health awareness campaigns, preventive care, and educational activities within the HTU campus.
It is worth noting that Al Hussein Technical University, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, is a national, non-profit private university offering a modern applied education model that focuses on equipping students with essential and technical skills in engineering and technology. The university aims to bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical application, aligning education outcomes with labor market needs and fostering innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among its students.
