Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and Sager Autonomous Robotics signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on establishing an advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Laboratory at HTU’s campus located in King Hussein Business Park. The partnership aims to foster research and training activities in the field of drone technology both in Jordan and the wider region.
The UAV Laboratory will serve as a specialized training and research facility for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), enabling students to gain practical knowledge in designing, programming, manufacturing, monitoring, and operating drone systems. The facility is envisioned as a hub for innovation and capacity building, contributing to the development of a skilled talent pool capable of supporting and advancing multiple industries across Jordan and beyond.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, and Eng. Youssef Amoura, representing Sager Autonomous Robotics, in the presence of senior administrative representatives from both sides.
This collaboration reflects the shared ambition of both institutions to build a center of excellence in UAV technologies and to position Jordan as a regional leader in the rapidly growing drone and autonomous systems sector.
HTU, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, is a national, non-profit private university that offers a unique applied education model focused on equipping students with essential technical and practical skills across various engineering disciplines. The university works to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, fostering creativity, innovation, and employability among youth. It also contributes to the community by offering training programs for job-seeking graduates and organizing outreach activities to expose school students across the Kingdom to emerging scientific and technical fields.
Sager Autonomous Robotics, a high-tech enterprise specializing in intelligent systems and UAV-based applications, provides a platform-as-a-service model that enables enterprises, government entities, and educational institutions to deploy drone operations efficiently while mitigating operational, regulatory, and financial challenges.
