HTU and the National Cybersecurity Center Celebrate Graduation of the First Cohort of “Nashama Cyber Bootcamp”

Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of the “Nashama Cyber Bootcamp”, an intensive cybersecurity program launched jointly by both institutions in October. The three-month program was designed to enhance the technical capabilities of cybersecurity graduates, developing their professional skills and preparing them for entry into the Jordanian job market.

The program, which spanned over three and a half months, delivered a total of 340 training hours—including 180 hours of technical cybersecurity skills, 100 hours of English language development, and 60 hours of personal and life skills. Training was delivered through a hybrid model, combining online instruction with on-campus sessions at HTU.

In addition to classroom learning, participants engaged in workshops, assignments, assessments, and technical challenges, gaining hands-on experience in various cybersecurity topics such as ethical hacking, network security, and secure coding, among others.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, expressed his pride in celebrating the first graduating class of the Nashama Cyber Bootcamp, stating:

“This program stands as a testament to HTU’s commitment to equipping Jordanian youth with access to high-quality education and training in emerging technologies such as cybersecurity.”

He also emphasized the university’s pride in its partnership with the National Cybersecurity Center, highlighting HTU’s ongoing efforts to expand this collaboration in support of Jordan’s digital transformation and innovation goals.

For his part, Eng. Bassam Al-Maharmeh, Director of the National Cybersecurity Center, congratulated the graduates, saying:

“We are delighted to witness the graduation of the first cohort of the Nashama Cyber Bootcamp. This initiative marks an important step in strengthening the cybersecurity capabilities of Jordanian youth and preparing them for local and global opportunities in this growing field. We look forward to continuing our partnership with HTU to sustain and expand similar initiatives in the future.”

Following the success of the first cohort, HTU and the NCSC announced the launch of the program’s second edition, reaffirming their joint commitment to providing continuous training opportunities that meet the growing local and international demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals.
