HTU and the National Institute for Robotics and Technology Sign MoU to Empower Youth in Robotics and Emerging Technologies

Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and the National Institute for Robotics and Technology (NIRT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at empowering Jordanian youth through the creation of a supportive and stimulating environment in the fields of robotics, programming, and emerging technologies, enabling them to develop their skills and compete at regional and international levels.

Under this partnership, both parties will collaborate on organizing joint activities and competitions in various technological fields, conduct training workshops for university students and trainers, and provide volunteering and professional apprenticeship opportunities to HTU students.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, and Eng. Tareq Al-Nawaiseh, Executive Director of the National Institute for Robotics and Technology, in the presence of representatives from both institutions’ academic and administrative bodies.

During the signing ceremony, Prof. Al-Hinti emphasized that advancing higher education and strengthening the capabilities of Jordanian youth require the collaboration of educational institutions that share common goals. He added that this partnership will open up more opportunities for HTU students to engage in cutting-edge technological fields through the resources and expertise provided by the National Institute.

For his part, Eng. Al-Nawaiseh highlighted the importance of robotics and artificial intelligence in enabling Jordan to stay ahead in industrial, commercial, and service sectors, maintaining its position as a key regional player in technical innovation. He stressed the necessity of collaboration between educational and training institutions to elevate the standards of Jordanian students and graduates, equipping them with the competencies demanded by future job markets locally and regionally.

It is worth noting that Al Hussein Technical University, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, is a national, non-profit private university that offers a modern applied education model aimed at developing essential and technical skills in engineering and information technology. The university strives to bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical application, aligning academic outcomes with labor market needs while fostering innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students.

Meanwhile, the National Institute for Robotics and Technology (NIRT) is a pioneering training institution dedicated to equipping students with knowledge and skills in robotics, artificial intelligence, and technology through a wide range of training programs tailored to all academic and technical levels. The institute offers specialized courses in programming, robotics design, and AI applications, supported by state-of-the-art laboratories and expert instructors. NIRT provides a comprehensive and hands-on learning environment, enabling students to translate knowledge into practice using the latest technologies and innovative teaching methods.
