Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives, celebrated its Second International Day, organized by the Office of International Relations, under the theme “Unity in Diversity.” The event aimed to foster cross-cultural understanding, promote global awareness, and create a vibrant platform for connecting cultures from around the world.
The celebration also served as an opportunity to highlight the role of HTU’s Office of International Relations, which acts as a central hub for identifying academic exchange opportunities, research collaborations, and mobility programs through partnerships with universities and institutions worldwide.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Lutfi Al-Sharif, Vice President of the University, who welcomed students, faculty, and guests, emphasizing the importance of intercultural exchange in shaping well-rounded global citizens. The day featured a diverse range of cultural performances representing countries from across the world — including martial arts demonstrations, traditional dances, musical performances, and more.
Following the opening ceremony, attendees explored the International Culture Exhibition, showcasing booths from over a dozen countries — including Arab, Turkish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, German, American, French, Spanish, Italian, and Mexican cultural displays — along with an interactive Virtual Reality booth that provided immersive global experiences.
The event was organized in collaboration with several international and cultural partners, including the Confucius Institute, the U.S. Embassy in Jordan, the Fulbright Commission in Jordan, the Japanese Embassy, the Jordanian JICA Alumni Association, the Yunus Emre Institute, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Goethe-Institut, the French Institute in Jordan, Campus France, the Instituto Cervantes, the Embassy of India, and the Dante Alighieri Society (Italian Language and Cultural Center).
HTU’s International Day reflects the university’s broader commitment to preparing students for the global workforce and equipping them with essential practical, cultural, and communication skills. As part of the Crown Prince Foundation’s vision, HTU continues to bridge education and employability, while fostering curiosity, creativity, and intercultural understanding through its wide range of academic and extracurricular programs.
