HTU Hosts the 12th National Technology Parade with the Participation of 22 Jordanian Universities
[Thursday, July 10, 2025 – Amman] – Al-Hussein Technical University (HTU), an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, in collaboration with the Jordan Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), hosted the 12th edition of the National Technology Parade for Jordanian University Students, under the theme: "Youth Leading Technological Transformation and Innovation." The event witnessed the distinguished participation of students from 22 public and private universities across the Kingdom.

The event featured vibrant competition among student teams who showcased their graduation projects across ten major thematic tracks: entertainment and gaming technology, green technology and sustainability, public safety and quality of life, business and societal technologies, defense and security technology, e-learning, health technology and bio-applications, industrial technology, assistive technology for people with disabilities, and financial technology services.

The opening ceremony featured keynote speeches from prominent academic and industry figures, including Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of HTU; Dr. Ghaith Abandah, Chair of the Parade Steering Committee; Eng. Nasser Saleh, Founder of MadfooatCom; and Dr. Mousa Al-Akhras, Chair of IEEE Jordan Section. In their remarks, the speakers emphasized the Parade's role in bridging academic outputs with real market needs, and its importance in promoting innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students.

The event’s agenda included a series of expert-led panel discussions addressing strategic topics at the heart of digital transformation. Key sessions explored the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NEEAP), cybersecurity risks, e-learning technologies, sustainable green technology, and financial technology, with participation from specialists representing both the public and private sectors.

Student clubs from HTU also contributed to the event atmosphere by organizing engaging activities and interactive displays that highlighted their talents and creativity across various fields.

At the closing ceremony, the top three winning projects in each thematic track were announced. HTU students earned seven top-ranking awards, reflecting the university’s commitment to excellence in applied engineering and technology education. The event concluded with Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti handing over the parade flag to Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, which will host the 13th edition of the parade in 2026.
