HTU Launches Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation “Nomu” Initiative in Jordan as Part of the Activities of the First HTUX 2033 Conference: Accelerating Paths to the Future of Learning and work
Amman - Al Hussein Technology University (HTU) announced, during the "HTUX 2033 Conference: Accelerated Paths for the Future of Learning and Work", the launch of four thousand free "Nomu" opportunities for Jordanian youth, including graduates and final year university students, to create positive changes in their career paths through accelerated learning paths lasting no more than six months, provided through the HTUX.ORG platform. It is worth noting that the "Nomu" initiative is one of the initiatives of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, launched last year in Jordan, Tunisia, and Lebanon, and implemented in Jordan through the HTUX.ORG platform in partnership with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation and the Crown Prince Foundation. HTUX.ORG platform is the first of its kind Arabic digital platform developed by the Digital Learning Center at the Hussein University of Technology.
The conference witnessed wide participation from the university's partners and guests from the private and public sectors, as well as academics, university presidents, school principals, students, and young graduates. It included a panel discussion on the future of learning and work, participated by the Minister of Education and Higher Education, His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, His Excellency Mr. Ahmad Al Hanandeh, and the Chairman of the Crown Prince Foundation Board of Trustees, His Excellency Engineer Ghassan Nuqul, in addition to the university president, Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti.
During the event, Al-Hinti expressed his happiness with the launch of the "Nomu" initiative in Jordan through the HTUX.ORG platform, saying: "This initiative represents a qualitative leap in the future of learning and youth employment opportunities. It embodies the university's commitment and that of its main partners, Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation and the Crown Prince Foundation, to provide innovative, flexible, and easily accessible learning opportunities for Arab youth, and to equip them with the essential skills for today's competitive job market."
On her part, Dr. Sonia Ben Jaafar, CEO of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, said: "The 'Nomu' initiative in Jordan aims to empower youth to actively contribute to their country and the wider regional economy. The Foundation's commitment to Jordan ensures that youth in the region are equipped with the skills and opportunities needed to address and overcome current economic challenges. Through this initiative, Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, in collaboration with the Hussein University of Technology, aims to enable Jordanian youth to obtain meaningful employment, enhance their professional and career development, and contribute to societal growth."
