HTU Participates in Global Game Industry Conference “Pocket Gamer Connects” in Jordan

Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives, recently participated in the Pocket Gamer Connects Global Games Industry Conference, which was held in Jordan over two days and brought together more than 1,400 participants and over 400 leading companies from around the world.

HTU President, Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, was among the distinguished speakers at the event. In his address, he highlighted the growing importance of the gaming industry and its potential to transform education and learning experiences, emphasizing HTU’s ongoing efforts to support and advance this field in Jordan.

The conference also featured HTU students Sanad Al-Kasawani, Omar Al-Jarrah, and Jana Al-Bdour, who spoke as young experts in game development and publishing, sharing their entrepreneurial journeys and insights from their own startups in the gaming sector.

HTU supported the participation of over 150 students, alongside several faculty and administrative members, allowing them to connect with global industry leaders, explore internship and employment opportunities, and engage with the latest technologies and innovations shaping the gaming world.

The Middle East region is recognized as one of the fastest-growing gaming markets globally, with an annual growth rate of 8.2% and revenues exceeding $5 billion USD—a testament to the region’s rising influence in the global digital entertainment economy.

Al Hussein Technical University, a non-profit national university and one of the initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation, continues to pioneer applied education in Jordan. Through its hands-on, market-driven learning model, HTU bridges the gap between academic knowledge and industry needs, empowering students with the technical, creative, and entrepreneurial skills required to thrive in today’s fast-evolving industries.
