HTU Signs First Strategic Partnership Under Inma’a Endowment Campaign with Support from Omar Abdulhadi Foundation
[30 July 2025] – Amman – In a landmark step reflecting its commitment to financial sustainability and academic excellence, HTU has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Omar Abdulhadi Foundation (OAF)—marking the first official contribution to the university’s recently launched endowment campaign,“Inma’a.”
This partnership aims to support HTU’s endowment fund, which is designed to empower Jordanian youth through high-quality technical education and advanced programs that integrate students directly with the labor market via hands-on training, volunteering, and career development. The endowment also seeks to provide a sustainable funding source for scholarships, applied learning programs, innovation, and entrepreneurship—ensuring the university’s long-term impact in preparing highly qualified graduates capable of driving progress in local and regional markets.
As part of the agreement, the financial contribution will be allocated to the endowment under the supervision of its official trustees. HTU will later host a dedication ceremony to name the university’s main auditorium in recognition of this pioneering support.
The partnership also includes joint initiatives such as vocational training opportunities, volunteer programs, and career development activities for HTU graduates and OAF beneficiaries, in addition to collaborative educational and development projects that align with both institutions’ missions to expand youth empowerment and opportunity.
Dr. Omar Abdulhadi expressed his pride in the collaboration, stating, “Supporting quality education and youth empowerment lies at the heart of our foundation’s mission. We are honored to be the first contributors to HTU’s Inma’a endowment campaign, which has established itself as a leading force in applied and technical education in Jordan. We firmly believe that investing in education is the most worthwhile investment, and that endowments are a powerful vehicle to ensure sustainability and build a more equitable future for our youth.”
HTU President, Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, described the partnership as a model of synergy between education and community, emphasizing the university’s strong belief in endowments as a strategic tool for sustaining quality education. “We take pride in our collaboration with the Omar Abdulhadi Foundation, a longstanding example of purposeful and institutional philanthropy,” he added.
Dr. Omar Abdulhadi is one of the region’s most prominent engineering pioneers and co-founder of the Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES), established in 1983. ACES is now the largest specialized engineering firm in the Middle East, with numerous local and regional awards to its name.
The Omar Abdulhadi Foundation (OAF) carries a rich legacy in supporting education and community development in Jordan, Palestine, and Lebanon, with a strong focus on empowering youth through scholarships and impactful employment-driven initiatives.
As an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, HTU believes that supporting education goes beyond providing knowledge—it requires strategic partnerships that ensure sustainability, foster innovation, and unlock job opportunities. Through the “Inma’a” Endowment Campaign, the university is ushering in a new era of youth empowerment and institutional excellence, building a dynamic educational environment that responds to today’s challenges and tomorrow’s aspirations.
