HTU Signs MoU with Adaa Sustainable Development Consulting to Advance Collaboration in Sustainability and Green Building Initiatives
Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adaa Sustainable Development Consulting to enhance cooperation in sustainability, youth empowerment, and green building awareness. The signing ceremony was attended by members of HTU’s academic and administrative teams, along with representatives from Adaa.
The agreement aims to foster collaboration between the two institutions in launching and supporting student-led initiatives, joint projects, and events that raise awareness of sustainability and promote the adoption of green building practices across Jordan.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, and Eng. Mayson Al-Khreisat, representing Adaa Sustainable Development Consulting.
During the signing, Prof. Al-Hinti emphasized HTU’s commitment to sustainability as a core pillar of its educational and operational model. He highlighted the university’s ongoing efforts in integrating sustainability into its academic programs, particularly in the fields of renewable energy and green buildings, as well as through student projects and training initiatives.
He added: “At HTU, we believe sustainability is not just a topic of study—it’s a way of thinking and acting. We are committed to preparing future engineers who understand how to innovate responsibly and build a greener, more sustainable future for Jordan.”
Eng. Al-Khreisat expressed her admiration for HTU’s progressive approach and its recent inclusion of green building courses within its engineering programs, noting that the university’s efforts have already made a visible impact through its students and faculty. She added that the partnership reflects a shared vision to expand the adoption of sustainable practices and empower a new generation of engineers capable of driving Jordan’s transformation toward sustainability.
It is worth noting that HTU recently received official certification for its new green buildings, becoming the first and only university in Jordan to achieve such recognition. The certification highlights the university’s commitment to energy and water efficiency through modern architectural design that maximizes natural lighting and creates a comfortable, resource-efficient environment.
