Kia Jordan Sponsors University Education for Six HTU Students and Supports Key Youth Empowerment Programs
The National Arab Motor Company (NAMC) — the exclusive distributor of Kia in Jordan — announced its sponsorship of university tuition for six students from Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), majoring in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The support also extends to several initiatives led by the university’s Office of Partnership with Industry, including the Professional Apprenticeship Program, the Employment Program, career days, seminars, and other student development activities.
The announcement followed the signing of a support agreement between Kia Jordan and HTU, underscoring Kia’s commitment to empowering Jordanian youth and contributing to solutions for the challenges they face—particularly those related to education and employability. The initiative reflects Kia’s belief in the pivotal role of education in shaping both social and economic progress and preparing young people to become active, productive members of their communities.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Mohammad Alayyan, CEO of the National Arab Motor Company – Kia Jordan, and Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, in the presence of representatives from both administrative and academic teams.
Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Alayyan expressed his pride in partnering with HTU, describing the university as “one of the most significant initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation and a leading institution that equips Jordanian youth with the technical skills and capabilities they need to thrive.” He emphasized that this collaboration highlights the importance of strategic partnerships that advance national development priorities—especially those promoting inclusive education and equal opportunities for youth, whom he described as the nucleus of future leadership and innovation.
He further noted that Kia Jordan’s investment in education and youth development is an integral part of its corporate social responsibility strategy, which focuses on supporting key societal sectors—foremost among them education and youth empowerment. Mr. Alayyan expressed optimism that this partnership will contribute to preparing highly skilled professionals in the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering, strengthening Jordan’s future workforce.
For his part, Prof. Al-Hinti remarked:
“At Al Hussein Technical University, we believe that education is the key to unlocking human potential and building a brighter future for all. Through such generous opportunities, we can provide our students with the resources and support they need to succeed academically and achieve their career goals.”
He expressed his gratitude to Kia Jordan for its generous scholarships and ongoing support, emphasizing that the partnership reflects Kia’s commitment to investing in the next generation of engineers and innovators, helping them lead and build a more successful future in the fields of mechanical and electrical technologies.
It is worth noting that Al Hussein Technical University, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, is a national, non-profit private university offering a modern applied education model that strengthens both essential and technical skills in engineering and technology. The university aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, aligning higher education outcomes with local and global labor market needs, while fostering creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among its students.
