(April 9, 2023, Sunday) - Amman - Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) held the launch ceremony for the second edition of the "Nashama Cyber" program. The first edition was launched in October of the previous year. The program aims to enhance the capabilities of graduates in cybersecurity and information technology, develop their skills, and prepare them for engagement in the Jordanian job market.
The "Cyber Nobles Camp" program, spanning 4 months, will provide 430 training hours for participants. This includes 270 hours in technical skills, 100 hours in English language and skills, and 60 hours in personal and life skills. The training will be conducted through a combination of online and on-campus sessions at Al Hussein Technical University.
The program also includes workshops, tests, assignments, and additional challenges to enhance the students' learning experience. Participants will receive training in various cybersecurity topics such as ethical hacking, network security, secure coding, and more.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, the President of HTU, expressed his pride in the partnership between the university and NCSC for launching the second edition of the program. He emphasized that this program represents a significant step in the university's continuous efforts to equip Jordanian youth with the skills and knowledge needed for success in the modern job market.
Bassam Al-Maharmah, the President of NCSC, expressed pride in the strategic partnership with HTU. He highlighted the center's commitment to empowering youth in the field of cybersecurity and preparing them for the Jordanian job market. Maharmeh emphasized the importance of practical application in the field of cybersecurity, stating that the camp includes practical aspects enabling students to apply theoretical concepts, addressing the market's need for practical experience in cybersecurity.
