Minister of Labor Patronizes HTU Career Expo 2026 with the Participation of 100 Companies from Various Sectors

Amman — His Excellency Minister of Labor Mr. Khaled Al-Bakkar patronized the Career Expo 2026 organized by Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives, with the participation of 100 companies and institutions from various industrial, technological, and service sectors. The Expo offered more than 1,000 employment and training opportunities for HTU students and graduates.The event comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ readiness for the labor market and expand direct engagement between employers and young talent. It also supports the transition of students and graduates into professional life while strengthening the alignment between educational outcomes and the needs of different sectors.The opening ceremony began with welcoming remarks by Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, who emphasized that the Career Expo reflects HTU’s philosophy of connecting education with practical application. He highlighted the importance of building strategic partnerships with the private sector to create real opportunities for students and graduates, noting that the university’s success is measured by its ability to prepare graduates equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to integrate effectively into the labor market and contribute to economic development.During the opening, Prof. Hussam Khasawneh, Assistant to the President for Partnership with Industry, presented the role of the Career Expo in supporting employment and training pathways. He noted that HTU’s educational model is built on close partnerships with industry and employers, ensuring the continuous development of academic and training programs in line with the rapid changes of the labor market. He also highlighted the role of the Office of Partnership with Industry in implementing initiatives and programs with public and private sector partners to strengthen employment and apprenticeship opportunities for students.In his remarks, H.E. Minister Khaled Al-Bakkar stressed the importance of partnerships between higher education institutions and the private sector in preparing national talent for future jobs. He commended HTU’s role in developing an applied education model focused on skills and professional readiness. He also underlined the significance of career Expos in creating direct channels between job seekers and employers, contributing to quality employment and training opportunities for Jordanian youth.The Expo witnessed strong participation from students and graduates, who had the opportunity to meet representatives of participating companies, explore available employment and training opportunities, and conduct initial interviews with several employers. The event also enabled participants to learn more about labor market requirements and the most in-demand skills across various sectors.The Career Expo is one of HTU’s key annual events and reflects the university’s vision to enhance employability, deepen industry partnerships, and support Jordanian youth with the skills and opportunities needed to build successful and sustainable career paths.
