(December 28, 2023, Thursday) - Amman - Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation, inaugurated today the "Arab Bank Innovation Space," established with full support from Arab Bank within the existing cooperation agreement between both parties.
This opening is a culmination of the "Business Partnership to Support Educational Spaces" program by HTU, fostering genuine and strategic cooperation with the private sector and business sector. The aim is to provide ample opportunities to achieve the university’s primary goal of preparing students for the labor market. The opening was attended by Prof. Ismail Al-Hinti, President of HTU, and Mrs. Randa Al-Sadiq, Executive General Manager of the Arab Bank.
The space was designed according to the latest specifications and standards, equipped with all necessary supplies, to be an educational and interactive space of an innovative nature. This space is designed to offer HTU students a unique educational experience for the innovation and entrepreneurship courses offered by the university. It also serves as a platform for entrepreneurs and aspiring students to present their entrepreneurial ideas, projects, benefit from exchanging knowledge, and host activities and events. It will also host experts and specialists in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship to enrich the educational process through transferring and exchanging participatory experiences between students, the bank, the private sector, and academics alike.
Commenting on the opening, Mrs. Al-Sadiq said: "At Arab Bank, we take pride in our collaboration with HTU, an esteemed academic institution bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. The Arab Bank Innovation Space underscores our commitment to supporting education and leadership in Jordan, creating an environment conducive to creativity, idea incubation, and fostering innovative thought and projects among students." She added: "The opening of the Arab Bank Innovation Space at Al-Hussein Technical University comes from Arab Bank’s continued keenness to support the education and leadership sector in the Kingdom and to contribute to the efforts aimed at building the capabilities of Jordanian youth by creating a distinctive teaching and learning environment for creativity, incubating ideas, and encouraging creative thought and projects, entrepreneurship, and innovative activities."
Prof. Al-Hinti expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "The Arab Bank Innovation Space signifies a crucial step towards integrating academia with practical skills. This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to providing a dynamic learning environment and bridging the gap between education and industry needs."
