In his Seventh Discussion Paper, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein affirms that “it has become self-evident that nothing rivals education in building nations and shaping a better, more complete, and more beautiful world.”
This year, the contours of Jordan’s education sector have grown clearer than ever, revealing the urgent need for new approaches and innovative methods in shaping the learning process — the cornerstone of a resilient and prosperous future.
As a nation that believes deeply in its own potential, we have embraced His Majesty’s vision to move forward with confidence toward a new era of knowledge-driven prosperity. For, as His Majesty stated, “it is no secret that we live in an age of rapid change, and we will not be able to meet its challenges without its modern tools of knowledge, nor can we respond to its needs without its advanced technological means.”
It is within this very spirit that Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) was established — a national beacon committed to producing exceptional, skilled, and empowered young men and women, equipped not only with knowledge but with the ability to lead and create impact in the modern world.
Founded in 2016 as one of the initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation, HTU is a national, non-profit private university that delivers a unique applied education model, designed to equip students with essential technical and professional skills in engineering, computer science, and emerging technologies. Its primary mission is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring that graduates are fully prepared for the demands of the modern job market.
HTU also strives to nurture entrepreneurship, initiative, and creative thinking, empowering students to become innovators capable of shaping the industries of tomorrow. Beyond the classroom, the university serves the local community by offering specialized training programs that target university graduates seeking employment and growth opportunities.
Believing, as His Majesty does, that the foundation for solving Jordan’s economic and social challenges begins with education, the HTU family dedicates its efforts to empowering youth — the very generation celebrated by His Majesty and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince. Through partnerships with the private sector, collaboration with international academic institutions, and forward-looking programs designed to meet future needs, HTU continues to prepare Jordan’s youth for leadership in an ever-evolving world.
With conviction in our mission and faith in our nation’s youth, we echo the words of our leader: “We are capable of creating the bright future we aspire to.”
At Al Hussein Technical University, the future begins here — and the future begins now.
