The National Cyber Security Center and HTU Launch the “Nashama Cyber Bootcamp” to Prepare Cybersecurity Graduates for the Job Market

The National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), in collaboration with Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) — one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives — launched the first cohort of the intensive training program “Nashama Cyber Bootcamp.” The program aims to develop the technical and professional competencies of cybersecurity graduates from Jordanian universities and equip them with the practical skills required to enter the workforce.

The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of Eng. Bassam Maharmeh, President of the National Cyber Security Center, and Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of Al Hussein Technical University, in the presence of administrative representatives from both institutions, program trainers and engineers, and the 30 selected participants.

In his opening remarks, Prof. Al-Hinti welcomed the first cohort of Nashama Cyber participants, highlighting the importance of the journey they are about to embark on. He noted that the program represents a key step in empowering Jordanian youth to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, driven by rapid advancements in data and digital technology, where cybersecurity has become a fundamental necessity. He emphasized that HTU continually seeks partnerships that share its vision of developing young talent in the most dynamic and fast-evolving sectors, adding that this collaboration with the NCSC marks a significant milestone in that mission.

From his side, Eng. Maharmeh stressed that while technology continues to advance rapidly, human capacity remains the foundation of every industry. He explained that the NCSC places great emphasis on nurturing local expertise in cybersecurity to meet national and global demand and to contribute to Jordan’s ongoing digital development. He also pointed to the strong support and guidance of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, whose vision focuses on empowering youth and entrusting them with leadership roles in all fields, recognizing their immense potential to shape the future.

The participants in the first cohort were selected through a competitive, multi-stage process based on their academic background, specialization, and performance in personal interviews. The three-month program will begin on Wednesday and includes 180 hours of specialized cybersecurity training, 100 hours of business English, and 60 hours focused on personal and life skills development.

Through this initiative, HTU and the NCSC reaffirm their shared commitment to empowering Jordanian youth, building national capacity in cybersecurity, and positioning Jordan as a regional leader in digital resilience and technological innovation.
