Under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, HTU Celebrates the Graduation of Its Second Cohort

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, and on his behalf, H.E. Prof. Wajih Owais, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attended the graduation ceremony of the second cohort of students from Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s initiatives. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of graduates who successfully completed all the requirements for their bachelor’s and associate technical degrees.

Held at the King Hussein Business Park, the ceremony was attended by Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, President of HTU; members of the University’s Board of Trustees; senior officials and partners from both the public and private sectors; faculty and administrative members; as well as the graduating students and their families.

The ceremony featured a grand academic procession led by the Jordan Armed Forces Band, a performance of the university anthem, and multimedia presentations highlighting the graduates’ academic journey. The program also included musical performances by the Haya Cultural Center Choir, along with keynote speeches by Eng. Ghassan Nuqul, Chair of the Crown Prince Foundation Board of Trustees and CEO of Fine Hygienic Holding; Prof. Ismael Al-Hinti, HTU President; and student representatives Amal Al-Shabatat and Laith Al-Bdour.

In his speech, Prof. Al-Hinti emphasized that the establishment of HTU, as one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s flagship initiatives, reflects His Royal Highness’s vision to empower Jordanian youth with the technical and practical skills necessary to thrive in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He reiterated that “work readiness” remains the university’s central mission, integrating applied education and real-world experience to prepare graduates for success in the job market.

He further noted the university’s significant progress in recent years, with the student population doubling by 100%, and the expansion of its state-of-the-art educational and laboratory facilities. HTU has also strengthened its partnerships with over 120 private sector companies, offering students practical training and employment opportunities. Additionally, the university has broadened its global engagement through international academic and research exchange agreements, achieving an impressive 100% employment rate among graduates.

Prof. Al-Hinti also highlighted the launch of HTU+, a national program designed to modernize Jordan’s technical and vocational education system, and the establishment of the German Energy Academy, which supports Jordan’s transition toward renewable energy and sustainability.

The ceremony concluded with the conferral of degrees and honors to the graduates. The top students were recognized by the guest of honor and the university president: Mohammad Abdullah Al-Bu, first place in the associate degree category, and Bayan Amer Ballout, first place in the bachelor’s degree category.
